It’s easy to get disheartened over the sorry state of affairs – world pollution, ecological disaster, global warming, starvation, racial tension, corruption and now a pandemic; our media make us feel powerless, but is this really the case?
If, as many spiritual leaders believe, we create our own reality, then by implication we must take collective responsibility for this international chaos - surely even more reason to despair. However, various publications (notably The Secret, 2006) outlining the ancient Law of Attraction and further self-empowerment techniques paint a very different picture.
The Law of Attraction predicts that we attract into our lives whatever we spend our time focusing on. We are told it is down to a Universal Law, that the mind works to manifest whatever we seek. So, it is prudent to filter your thoughts and keep them positive and constructive.
Simply put, the Law of Attraction determines that the emotional state we vibrate out (via our thoughts and actions) are reflected back with an empathetic response from our environment. Apparently, it’s pure physics – if an F# tuning fork is struck in a room full of other tuning forks, all other F# forks will reverberate in sympathy. Perhaps then, if we can create global disasters, we can also collectively ‘uncreate’.
A lightworker can be anyone who chooses to devote their life to being a beacon of bright light in the world. They are consciously aware that their daily thoughts and actions (whether trivial or major) impact on others and the wider environment. New Age interpretations purport that Lightworkers are also ‘Starseeds’; star people who may believe they originated from another planet, galaxy or even dimension. It has been scientifically demonstrated that we are all literally created from stardust, composed of recycled materials from earlier planetary bodies, so in many ways we are all ‘Starseeds’.
What is a Lightworker?
A lightworker can be anyone who chooses to devote their life to being a beacon of bright light in the world. They are consciously aware that their daily thoughts and actions (whether trivial or major) impact on others and the wider environment. New Age interpretations purport that Lightworkers are also ‘Starseeds’; star people who may believe they originated from another planet, galaxy or even dimension. It has been scientifically demonstrated that we are all literally created from star dust, composed of recycled materials from earlier planetary bodies, so in many ways we are all ‘Starseeds’.
Until we remember that we are part of a collective who hold responsibility for keeping our planet whole and beautiful, we are sometimes described as ‘asleep’.
Lightworkers could have experienced a lonely childhood, or perhaps with ‘invisible friends’. They have often experienced isolation, struggling to socialise comfortably with family and peers. This would be due to overwhelming sensitivity to their surroundings and the emotions of others. For many Lightworkers, there is a need to tamp down their juvenile sensitives on a day-to-day basis, meaning that being ‘asleep’ was a coping strategy.
It’s time to materialise latent abilities and deploy them for good.
Often, Lightworkers respond to a calling to ‘do your bit’ by some higher awareness (some might say from the source or God), to abandon the personal ego, and the emotion of fear (which is an acronym for False Evidence Appearing Real) and serve mankind and the planet herself.
This means we choose light over darkness. It is a duality consciousness here on Earth so we’re free to choose which path to take. Light energy is infinite and unlimited; a pure and high frequency emanating love and unity. Dark energy is more dense; emulating fear, manipulation and separation.
Frequently, Lightworkers feel ashamed to be human (I certainly do), we don’t want to be part of a population destroying its own habitat and which shows little or no respect for any living creatures that share its planet.
How can Lightworkers make a global difference?
You can make a significant difference simply by working on your own level of consciousness. Future instalments of this Blog will explain how this makes a bigger impact than you might expect.
I specialise in bringing ancient knowledge into modern living, by mentoring Khemitian Philosophies, principles of the Ancient Egyptians, who referred to their land as Khem. The Khemitians believed that we have potential for up to 360 different perceptions. By awakening these, we enable ourselves to communicate with our bodies and our surroundings. We also make ourselves more receptive to benevolent messages from Higher Frequency Beings, such as Angels and Ascended Masters.
My initial education was very science-based, and I then went into corporate training and senior management. Believe me, even though I had already started my spiritual quest, I was very sceptical about angels at first. When my eldest sister, Angel McGerr, became a best-selling angelology author, I was forced to sit-up and take note. Especially as she had been a highly successful business consultant. If she could embrace it so could I.
In the meantime, you can use mindfulness techniques to extend your five perceptions of sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. Perhaps rekindling abilities that you suppressed as a child. This will help you to develop (or re-ignite) your supernatural sensitivity which will enable you, with time and practice, to tune-into people and situations. It’s about taking the time to observe (without judgement) what is going on around you.
Put focus into noticing little things as you go about your daily routine. Take smaller and slower steps to get somewhere, revelling in the journey itself rather than only thinking about the destination.
Note the texture of the individual components of the meals you eat. How easy is it to chew? If you are a fast eater, try and chew your food more. Celebrate the way new tastes explode in your mouth as your teeth break the outer surface of food morsels. Pay attention to the saliva starting the digestion process in your mouth. Savour the flavour, so to speak.
Listen to the birds outside your window and try and translate what they are saying to each other. Play music that makes you feel alive and perhaps allow yourself a little celebratory dancing.
You can further heighten your own awareness by spending time in nature and nurturing a feeling of connection with the soil beneath you, as well as the plants, trees and animals you observe. Embrace the weather regardless, just make sure you are appropriately dressed to keep insulated.
How Can I get more involved?
Once you have answered the Lightworker call, you can amplify your impact by joining together with other Lightworker to form an active taskforce.
Sign up as a Tribe Member on this site and then you can connect with other Lightworkers and then you will be enrolled in THE VICKYSOUL ACADEMY Lightworker Community.
I host monthly Full Moon Virtual Lightworker Gatherings. Join our next Virtual Healing Circle (£11), 7.30-9.30pm (GMT) on Monday 30th November, when you will be guided though a mindful chakra healing programme, using colours and crystal energy. You will then be connected above (to the Sky) and below (to the Earth) to be part of the Harmony Healing Lightworker collective and start making a difference.
